Artist Born in Hokkaido. Received a B.A. from Musashino Art University. Nakamura was awarded the 10th Anniversary Special Prize of the Ava/Nicograph CG Grand Prix (1991) with her digital painting. Nakamura is awarded the Grand Prize from the Japan Information-Culture Society in 1995 and the Net-Art Award of the Multimedia Grand Prix '95 for the Renga project, and was invited to IMAGINA 94 as a speaker. Renga was selected for SIGGRAPH'94 art show. Moppet, another project Nakamura collaborated with other artists and researchers, was selected and exhibited at Prix Ars Electronica'97 Interactive Category. Nakamura's digital paintings are exhibited internationally including the art gallery at IMAGINA 92 and 93. She is the producer of "Rengei-za", a collaborative "net theatre" where professional digital artists offer a variety of programs. Artist / Software Engineer 1956 Born in Tokyo. Anzai has developed computer graphics software including a paint system he developed at Sapience Corp in 1987. He is author of two books on computer graphics. From 1991 to 1997 his digital illustration appeared on the cover of Nikkei Communication journal. Anzai is interested in the integration of computer networks and art already in the 80s. He realized projects such as and among others. Since 1992 he has been working on "Renga", a collaborative art project conducted over computer-based communication systems. Renga has achieved international regard. In 1998 Anzai directed the development of "TheWall" system. Anzai is awarded the Grand Prize from the Japan Information-Culture Society in 1995 and the Net-Art Award of the Multimedia Grand Prix '95 for the Renga project, and was invited to IMAGINA 94 as a speaker.
